The Faculty of Law and the School of Applied Social Studies are proud to announce the upcoming seminar

'Adopting Change: The Future of Adoption Law and Practice in Ireland'

Catherine Mullin (Trainer Consultant BAAF NI)

Dr Fergus Ryan (Lecturer in Law, DIT)

Dr Aisling Parkes (Lecturer in Law, UCC)

Dr Simone McCaughren (Lecturer in Adoption Practice, UCC)

The event will be chaired by Dr. Geoffrey Shannon as Chair of the Adoption Authority.

Some issues that will be discussed and debated include:

·         same-sex couple adoption

·         recent changes to adoption law and practice

·         comparative perspectives on adoption law and practice in Northern Ireland

·         open adoption
